Brian Andres Debut CD available - Latin JAzz

A few months back, Nicholas flew out to San Francisco to record his cuatro playing on the latest project by the Latin jazz drummer, Brian Andres.  The recording is entitled, Drummers Speak.  10 tracks of songs written by famous drummers and rearranged for this project featuring the San Francico bay area's top Latin music musicians.  A true gem! Check it out NOW!  Nicholas plays on the Art Blakey track, Toffi.

Brian is a lifelong friend and mentor to Nicholas.  In the late 90's, Brian and Nicholas started the very popular Afro-Caribbean group, Bailando Desnudo.

Great to see you in SF Nicholas! I have heard your excellent work on Brian's cd. Did you know that the name of the album was originally "Contrary to popular opinion, DRUMMERS can SPEAK" shortened to "Drummers Speak" cause it wouldn't all fit on the album cover?

Yeah, I thought the original title was better, too . smilies/smiley.gif

love,
Nikki
